The Leipzig/Halle Airport fire brigade

Since the 9th of October 1997, the airport fire service has been recognised as a plant fire brigade. In, currently, three fire stations about 100 full-time and 64 part-time firemen are employed. The plant fire brigade at Leipzig/Halle Airport is responsible for active and preventive fire protection, for technical assistance including flight operations safety (also on the areas of the airport used by DHL). The plant fire brigade is supported in this by at least six workers from the Leipzig DHL hub.

The head of airport fire brigade is Ralph Schrott.
The deputy and responsible training supervisor is Steffen Ludewig. Please contact us.

In June 2010, a new Fire Training Center will be inaugurated. Click here for further information.

Officially recognised first aid training centre

Accidents occur not only on the roads or at work. A large proportion of accidents happen in leisure time or in the home. For this reason alone it is worthwhile to complete a basic first aid course. For most people, gaining their driving licence was a long time ago, and therefore their knowledge needs refreshing.

Our course offering:

  • Immediate lifesaving measures
  • First aid course
  • First aid training
  • Heart-lung reanimation (CPR)

If your previous first aid course was more than two years ago, we recommend taking part in a refresher course.

We are always available for questions, registrations or requests.
